Inspired by a late-night stop at a gas station after a concert, "Tankstation" captures the lonely ambiance reminiscent of the 80s Miami Vice soundtrack. The lyrics reflect solitude and the peacefulness of sleepless nights.
Maaike and Viggo sang the duet's melody together. The result is a romantic lullaby with melancholy overtones.

The accompanying video clip is a little road movie-like, featuring tired young people in the backseat of a car.
