La Nouvelle Harmonie Bruxelloise d'Accordéons regularly organizes workshops, as a co-production with Muziekpublique. One Monday per month, you can learn to play in an ensemble with a varied repertoire, under the leadership of Piet Maris. Now and then there is a new piece on the shelve, but the repertoire of past sessions gets continuously refreshed as well. Anyone who has a basic knowledge of chromatic accordion is welcome. Qotob Trio plays a post concert to the world première of 'Songs for the Crossing' by Belgian composer Jeroen D’hoe, based on text by Stefan Hertmans.
It reminds us of the infamous crossing of the Yser in Tervaete during World War I. But at the same time, the project could not be more up-to-date: ’the crossing’ is a metaphor for the current migration of refugees all over the world.
